“Nobody can breathe for me. I can’t postpone my inhales and exhales or just pass them on to the next person. The reflex movement of my lungs depends on me. If “we are all in this together”, how come we all deal with small daily battles within us alone? They're ours to go through, our processes of internal existence. We debate them with others later when they are part of the past when our shore is calm and waves have simmered down. No grey stormy skies and no shivering winds through my ribs. Only then I can describe my internal waters, a sea of breathing air. Then my storm is part of a collective, then I bring my ship towards the lighthouse, to the dock, and wave to neighbouring ships.
But my closeness stays within me. My breathing becomes shallow and my thoughts start to form sentences. The idea is formed from pure nothingness. If it’s coming from nothingness, could you say it came from ‘thin air’? Line after line, creating an expression of internal through speech. Then my exhales are seeking the other. The one who they choose they trust. With that, the words create a float, a community that cannot exist solely within oneself. All of a sudden, the air entering my lungs gains meaning. Beyond coping mechanisms, redirects gained power towards the outside world. Then I give it to others. Float of resting boats forms unified conciseness. Then creating becomes fuel for the mind, a mind for others, and vice versa. Inhale, exhale in continuation. In the time needed, they leave their dock. Nothingness transformed into movement.”

Project Delayed Thoughtfulness was initiated, produced, made, and polished during the pandemic state of the world, our country, and our minds. The main intent was that the whole process be led by intuition. It almost felt a must, a necessity that intuition should be in the core, from start to finish; from first inhale with proposition until the last exhale with: ‘Yes, we can now give it to others.’
